David Lemm is a visual artist based in Edinburgh. He studied animation at DJCAD, Dundee (2006) and began his career in design and illustration. His current practice developed through various residencies and research projects, including the Jon Schueler Scholarship at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Skye.  

Situational and process led investigation underpin much of his work, often incorporating collected materials reassembled into new contexts and speculative narratives. Since 2022 he has primarily focused on sculptural assemblage and collage, combining printmaking, drawing and found objects. 

David is a Lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art and studio holder at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop ︎︎︎
