Outcome from my 6 month residency as "Illustrator in Residence" at House of Illustration.
I explored the developing King’s Cross environment, mapping the changing landscape over that time through walking and observation, finding relationships between buildings, objects and the behaviour of people in the landscape. I presented the gallery as the centre point of my personal ‘map’ of the area. Each wall featured a series of these wood and paper collages, representing experiences encountered during the residency in that particular direction at a given time, each referencing the geographical direction of the gallery they were hung.
